Respected by his peers and feared by his foes, Mr. Lord has successfully handled thousands of cases in state and federal courts.  He has been named a top 40 under 40 lawyer by the National Black Lawyers association in 2023 and 2024, and has been named a civil rights SUPERLAWYER in 2022, 2023, and 2024.  This honor is reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in the NYC metro area.  Lord has been lead and of-counsel in cases that have resulted in amazing results for his clients.

Those results include being of-counsel to a historic 12.6 million class action settlement for protestors who suffered abuse by the NYPD, as well as settlements of 4 million and 4.3 million for two wrongful convictions.  Along with his civil rights practice, Lord has been lead counsel in settlements for racial discrimination, LGBTQ discrimination, disability discrimination, and sexual harassment.

An expert in litigation, Lord has received successful jury verdicts in violent felonies little as 12 minutes of deliberation and other cases in less than 30.   Lord has also successfully briefed, argued, and won appeals in the First Department of New York, Appellate Division.

Prior to co-founding LTG,  Lord worked as a public defender in Kings County in Brooklyn. During his tenure, Masai won more trials than any other attorney in the office of over a hundred attorneys. His aggressive motion and trial practice has resulted in most of his cases that were supposed to be tried actually being dismissed instead. He also successfully litigated first amendment challenges to New York City legislation.

Lord is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
